You don’t need to quit your job, buy a van, or move to Bali. You just need to do this one thing first: Get clear on what the heck you want.
Yeah, I know. “Clarity” sounds like a buzzword. But if your life feels like a treadmill set to “meh,” it’s probably not because you’re lazy. It’s because your vision is blurry. 👀
🌪️ The Fog Before the Fire
Let me tell you about a client I once worked with—let’s call him "Not-So-Hypothetical Alex."
Alex had it “good.” Good job. Good apartment. Good friends. And yet, he’d wake up with the same thought every single morning:
“Is this seriously it?”
He’d scroll LinkedIn and see his college buddy start a tech company. Scroll Instagram and see someone meditating on a cliff in Costa Rica. Then he’d show up to another meeting where people argued over font size. 🥴
He wasn’t ungrateful. He just felt… misaligned.
He thought the solution was a new job. Or maybe a new city. Or a new partner. But deep down, he knew the truth:
He didn’t lack options. He lacked direction.
🧭 The Clarity Compass
When we started working together, I didn’t give Alex answers. I gave him better questions.
Here’s the thing: Clarity isn’t a lightning bolt. It’s a breadcrumb trail.
Here’s the exact framework we used to find it:
🧩 Step 1: What’s Not Working?
Not the surface stuff—the soul stuff.
Ask yourself:
What drains me—even when I do it well?
What would I stop doing tomorrow if I weren’t afraid?
Where in my life am I playing small just to feel safe?
Write your answers. Don’t overthink.
The truth’s been living in your gut for years—it just needs a pen.
🔍 Step 2: Zoom In on What Does Feel Good
Clarity isn’t just about what's broken.
It’s about what sparks.
Ask yourself:
What moments make me feel more me?
When do I lose track of time (in a good way)?
Who do I envy, and why?
(Envy is often your soul’s way of whispering: “That’s for you, too.”)
🎯 Step 3: Map the Gap
Now you’ve got two poles:
Where you are ❌
Where you feel called to go ✅
The next step isn’t to leap.
It’s to bridge.
Ask:
What’s one experiment I can run this month?
Who’s already living the way I want to?
What support would help me move forward 5%?
Momentum builds clarity, not the other way around.
Think less “vision board,” more “mini mission.”
💥 The Big Lesson?
You’re not broken.
You’re buried.
Under routines.
Under expectations.
Under everyone else’s definition of “success.”
And clarity?
Clarity is remembering who the hell you were before the world told you who to be.
🧘♂️ And the Repeatable Proverb?
“When the fog lifts, the path appears.”
Every. Single. Time.
But you gotta want to see it.
🔄 Your Turn:
Take 20 minutes today.
Put your phone in another room.
And just ask yourself the three sets of questions above.
Seriously—don’t skim this.
Do it.
Even if the answers are messy.
Even if you cry (bonus points if you do 😅).
Because you’re not “stuck.”
You’re paused.
And clarity is the unpause button.
